My dewdrops 💛, your thoughts mean the world to me! Please leave your reviews, not criticism—because while I’m always open to learning and improving, I’m still an aspiring author, and this is my very first book. Some tiny mistakes might slip through, so I hope you can overlook them and enjoy the story for the heart it carries. Your love, encouragement, and feedback keep me going, and I promise to give you my best in every chapter!

It was around 6 A.M., and I found myself slumped in the common room of AIIMS Delhi, the exhaustion of the past 72 hours finally catching up with me. My phone rang loudly, jolting me awake. Without wasting a second, I answered. On the other side, a familiar voice of a colleague nurse trembled slightly as she said,
"Ma'am, there is an emergency..."
"Okay, I'm coming... inform Sumit sir also, and... report to the police if it's an accident case," I instructed, pushing myself upright. My feet carried me swiftly toward the emergency department.
By the time I arrived, Sumit sir was already there. I greeted him, forcing a cheerful tone, "Good morning, Sir!!"
He offered a faint smile, his calm demeanor reassuring. "Get the OT ready," he ordered.
We moved like a well-oiled machine, preparing the operating theatre and gathering every necessary instrument. An hour and a half later, we emerged, the weight of tension replaced with relief. Dr. Sumit, his smile gentle, said,
"Well done, Shree... the operation was successful."
A small, tired smile tugged at my lips as I nodded in acknowledgment. The post-operation formalities with the police were completed, and Sumit sir's voice softened as he said,
"Shree... you should take a break and go home. You've been here for the past 72 hours..."
I hesitated. Home wasn't a comforting thought; some issues waited there that I wasn't ready to face. So, I said firmly,
"I'm perfectly alright... I'll finish my duty today... and then go home..."
But Sumit sir wasn't convinced. With that unwavering tone that always carried authority, he insisted,
"Shree... I know you love your job... but your body needs rest. Better go home."
I had no other choice. With a reluctant sigh, I agreed and left for home.
Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kavyashree Sharma, a junior surgeon at AIIMS Delhi. I live with my parents and brother. I'm 24, building a life I'm proud of, yet my parents see it differently. Their world revolves around marriage and settling down, but I... I have other plans.
Come, walk alongside me, and see how my journey unfolds—how I end up in an arranged marriage, whether I want it or not.

It was around 7:30 A.M. when I heard my mother's gentle voice calling,
"Shivu... beta, wake up... otherwise you'll get late for office..."
"Mmm... maa... please... five more minutes..." I mumbled, my voice thick with sleep.
"No, Shivu... get up now! You've been saying this for the past half hour," she said, her tone tinged with playful annoyance.
I couldn't help but smile at her reaction. Slowly, I stretched, swung my legs off the bed, and hugged her. She hugged me back warmly, and for a moment, all the heaviness of the morning melted away. My maa... she truly is the sweetest soul in my life. I feel endlessly lucky to have her.
"Get ready soon... and come to have breakfast," she said, stepping out of the room. I nodded, a small smile lingering on my lips, and went to freshen up.
Oh! I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Shivansh Singhania, an IAS officer for the Central Delhi District. I live in Delhi with my wonderful family—Maa (Sucheta Singhania), Dad (Rajesh Singhania), Chachi (Lata Singhania), Chacha (Ramesh Singhania), and my cousin sister Ritu. They're all treasures in my life, and I know how blessed I am to have them.
I'm 28 years old, and like many parents, mine are eager for me to get married. They think I might have already found my match, but honestly... I'm not in a hurry. Not yet.
Come along, and see how I navigate life, duty, and love... and how an arranged marriage brings me face-to-face with my soulmate.
