CHAPTER 16

Writer's Note

These chapters will be having only good moments. I'll be writing their marriage, prenuptial and post-nuptial rituals.

Happy reading!!!

Both the families soon got busy with the preparations for Shivansh and Kavyashree’s wedding. The air around them was filled with excitement and joy — laughter echoing through the halls, the scent of fresh flowers lingering everywhere. Wedding cards were printed and lovingly distributed, each one carrying a promise of celebration and new beginnings.

Days were spent shopping for clothes, jewellery, and beautiful return gifts for guests and relatives who would be attending. The whole week passed in a blur of colors, music, and endless discussions — from selecting the perfect mehendi design to finalizing the playlist for the sangeet.

They had booked a resort as the wedding venue — a beautiful one located on the outskirts of Delhi. Surrounded by lush greenery and quiet charm, it seemed like the perfect place for their love story to take its next step. The entire resort was reserved for three days, ensuring that every moment — from haldi to the pheras — would remain untouched by the chaos of the outside world.

💞💞💞💞💞💞

Day 1: Haldi and Pool Party

It was finally time for the haldi ceremony and pool party — the official beginning of “The Great Grand Kavyansh Wedding.”

By 8 in the morning, both the families had reached the resort, the excitement already bubbling in the air. Warm hugs, cheerful greetings, and endless laughter filled the entrance as everyone dispersed to their respective rooms to get ready for the day’s festivities. The haldi muhurat was scheduled for 11 A.M.

Nikhil was the first to get ready. Dressed in a bright yellow kurta paired with crisp white pants and his ever-charming shades, he stepped out to look after the final arrangements. The sun glinted off the resort’s poolside, adding a golden glow to the already lively atmosphere. He spotted Kunal, who was already supervising the decorations, and within a few minutes, Abhi joined them too.

The trio — Nikhil, Kunal, and Abhi — had been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring everything ran perfectly. Soon, Rajesh ji, Ramesh ji, and Shashi ji arrived, joining them in overseeing the preparations with the typical enthusiasm of proud elders watching a big family event come alive.

Inside, the ladies were busy preparing the ubtan and haldi paste for the ceremony. The room looked like a burst of sunshine — everyone dressed in different hues of yellow, their looks completed with delicate floral jewellery. The soft aroma of turmeric and sandalwood lingered in the air, blending beautifully with the fragrance of fresh marigolds.

By 10:30 A.M, the guests began to arrive, their chatter and laughter adding to the festive chaos. Elders greeted them with warmth, while Nikhil, Abhi, and Kunal guided them to their respective rooms.

Sakshi had also arrived and was with Kavyashree, helping her get ready. The two shared soft laughter, a mix of nervous excitement and pure happiness reflecting in their smiles.

At sharp 11 A.M, the haldi function began. The bride and groom were led to the altar — a beautifully decorated space with white and yellow curtains cascading down the backdrop, intertwined with strings of orange marigolds and white jasmine flowers. In the center, two brass tubs shaped like lotuses gleamed under the morning light, filled with fragrant turmeric paste — waiting for the ceremony to begin.

(These images are taken from the internet to give an idea for the decorations.)

Shivansh looked effortlessly charming in his yellow kurta paired with crisp white silk pants. His shades shielded his eyes from the bright morning sun, adding a cool, composed touch to his aura.

Kavyashree, on the other hand, looked like a vision of sunshine herself. She wore a yellow sharara suit that flowed gracefully as she moved, perfectly complemented by delicate floral jewellery that added a soft, feminine charm. Her hair was half-open, cascading down to her hips in silky waves, catching the morning light and giving her an ethereal, almost dreamlike presence. She had kept her makeup light and fresh, the subtle glow of her skin enhanced by a hint of blush and brick-red lipstick that highlighted her smile. Even her shades couldn’t hide the sparkle in her eyes, reflecting her quiet excitement.

Kavyashree’s beauty that morning was the kind that made time pause — effortless, radiant, and timeless, like the soft glow of dusk captured in a moment.

(The above aesthetics are just the reference for their outfit for the haldi ceremony. Just for imagination.)

Both Shivansh and Kavyashree stepped into the tubs, the turmeric paste glimmering under the morning sun. The ladies began the ceremony in the traditional way, gently applying the haldi paste — first on Shivansh, then on Kavyashree. After that, they were bathed with a soothing mixture of milk and water, the cool liquid mingling with the golden paste, giving the ritual a playful, cleansing touch.

But Nikhil and Sakshi were far from done with their mischief. Laughing, they scooped handfuls of haldi paste and playfully smothered Shivansh and Kavyashree all over again. Abhi and Ritu, unable to resist, joined the fun. The laughter was infectious, echoing across the resort, mixing with the soft splashes and excited shrieks.

Their fun, however, was interrupted when Shivansh’s phone rang. He excused himself and walked toward the pool to take the call. Nikhil and Abhi, waiting for the perfect moment, watched intently. As soon as the call ended, they both shoved him into the pool.

Shivansh emerged sputtering, shock and outrage painted across his face. “Abe.... kamino..... ye kya kiya tum dono ne.....?? (Hey..... assholes..... what the hell did you do....??)”

Nikhil doubled over with laughter, wiping tears from his eyes. “Sorry..... sorry bhai..... hum to tujhe nehla rahe the..... (Sorry..... sorry bro..... we were just giving you a bath....)”

Kavyashree, watching the whole scene, couldn’t help but burst into laughter. She walked toward the pool, her smile making Shivansh freeze for a moment. In that instant, he fell in love all over again, completely mesmerized by her radiance.

Nikhil gave Ritu a sly look, and with a mischievous grin, she pushed Kavyashree into the pool too. Chaos erupted — laughter, splashes, and playful shrieks filled the air. Shivansh instinctively reached for Kavyashree, helping her regain her balance as the girls gleefully pushed the boys back in. The pool had turned into a battlefield of laughter, water, and golden turmeric.

Lost in the moment, Shivansh leaned close to Kavyashree, unaware that others were still in the pool, and whispered, “Ms. Sharma!! Aap aise hi hasti rahiye..... bohot khubsoorat lagti hai..... (Ms. Sharma!! Keep smiling like this..... you look very beautiful.....)”

The others overheard him instantly, hooting and splashing water in sheer amusement. Shivansh and Kavyashree blushed, caught in their private world, while Nikhil couldn’t resist teasing them. “Are..... are..... dekho to..... (Oho..... oho..... look at them.....)”

Shivansh scowled, half-annoyed, half-amused, and Kavyashree wriggled uncomfortably. He retaliated by splashing water back, shouting, “Kya.... kya dikha raha hai be.....?? (What.... show what.... what are you showing.....??)”

For the next two hours, they played in the water — splashing, laughing, and chasing each other, completely losing track of time. It wasn’t until Sucheta ji called out, her voice carrying a hint of authority amidst the chaos, that they paused.

“Chalo bacchon..... bohot ho gaya..... Shivu.... Kavyashree..... khas kar tum dono..... varna bimaar pad jaoge..... (Come kids.... it’s been long enough..... Shivu..... Kavyashree..... especially you two..... or else you’ll fall sick....)”

Shivansh grinned, replying, “Thik hai maa..... (Okay maa....)” He then turned to Kavyashree, offering his hand. “Ms. Sharma!! Let’s go out…”

She accepted his hand, and together they stepped out of the pool, droplets of water sparkling on their clothes. Abhi and Ritu followed suit. Nikhil, already out of the pool, extended his hand toward Sakshi with a playful grin.

“What are you doing??” she asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Just giving you my hand… to help you,” he replied shyly.

Sakshi lightly pushed his hand away, smiling. “No thanks…. keep your hand with yourself…. I can come out on my own.”

With that, she grabbed a towel from the nearby table and headed toward her room. Shivansh and Abhi, having witnessed the playful exchange, burst into laughter. Shivansh teased, “Waah.... kya popat hua tera.... maza aagaya.... (Wow.... you were fooled so smoothly.... what a nice show it was....)”

Nikhil groaned, feigning annoyance. “Chup kar saale.... jab dekho meri love story ka dushman banne aajata hai.... (Shut up you idiot..... you’re always here to screw it up....)”

Shivansh just laughed at his comment, shaking his head. Nikhil sighed dramatically and headed to his room to change, the playful chaos of the morning still lingering in the air.

Day 2: Mehendi and Sangeet

The mehendi ceremony was set to begin at 10 A.M., while the sangeet would follow in the evening at 7:30. By 8:30 A.M., the resort was already buzzing with anticipation. Nikhil, dressed in a crisp light green kurta paired with cream pants, was up and about, overseeing the final arrangements with his usual efficiency and charm.

By 9:30 A.M., the mehendi artists had arrived, their kits neatly arranged and ready to work their magic. Nikhil made sure they were served breakfast, his calm and thoughtful nature ensuring everyone felt welcomed and comfortable.

Meanwhile, in Kavyashree’s room, Sakshi was helping her get ready. Today, Sakshi wore a dark green ready-to-wear lehenga-style saree that complemented her graceful presence. The soft rustle of fabric, the faint jingling of her bangles, and the quiet laughter between the two women created a warm, intimate atmosphere amidst the larger chaos of wedding preparations.

The altar for the mehendi ceremony was a vision in green. Layers of light and dark green curtains created a lush backdrop, dotted with delicate white jasmine flowers that added elegance and freshness. The seating was arranged thoughtfully — the chairs draped in yellow covers, accentuated with vibrant purple and orange cushions that added a playful splash of color.

All the other guests and family members had dressed in varying shades of green, creating a cohesive and festive visual that mirrored the fresh, lively energy of the morning. The air smelled faintly of jasmine and mehendi paste, blending perfectly with the excitement and chatter that filled the venue.

By 9:55 A.M., the atmosphere was thick with excitement and anticipation. The bride and groom made their grand entrance at the altar, drawing all eyes toward them. Shivansh looked effortlessly regal in his dark green sherwani, his shades adding a touch of cool sophistication to his otherwise traditional look.

Every step he took exuded confidence and charm, while the soft rustle of fabric and the glint of his accessories caught the morning light beautifully. The guests couldn’t help but admire him, and in that moment, he seemed perfectly poised — a striking contrast to the playful, carefree moments from the haldi ceremony.

Meanwhile, Kavyashree looked ethereal in her light green lehenga. Her hair was half-open, the ends softly curled, giving her a graceful, effortless charm. Her makeup was kept light and natural, just enough to highlight her features, letting her radiant smile and sparkling eyes take center stage. Every movement she made seemed to carry a quiet elegance, perfectly complementing the vibrant energy of the mehendi ceremony around her.

Both Shivansh and Kavyashree gracefully took their places at the altar. The mehendi artists began their delicate work, tracing intricate patterns onto Kavyashree’s hands. The soft scent of mehendi mingled with the laughter and chatter around, setting the perfect festive mood.

Nikhil, always ready to spark some fun, started playing “Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna” and dragged Shivansh to dance. Shivansh moved along, his steps confident yet playful, occasionally sneaking glances at Kavyashree, who couldn’t help but smile at his subtle charm.

Before the female version of the song began, Shivansh leaned over and whispered to Nikhil, prompting him to pull Kavyashree onto the dance floor as well. They danced together for a while, laughter and music blending seamlessly, until finally Kavyashree sat down to rest.

The mehendi artist leaned forward and asked, “Ma'am kiska naam likhna hai?? (Ma'am, what name should I write?)”

Kavyashree looked up, her eyes meeting Shivansh’s, and said softly, “Shivansh…”

Shivansh, who had been stealing glances at her the entire time, noticed her look and smoothly slid in beside her. Meanwhile, Nikhil and the others, exhausted from dancing, paused the music.

Sucheta ji’s voice rang out, teasing yet affectionate, “Shivu tumhe bhi mehendi lagana hoga.... kamse kam Kavyashree ka naam to likhana hi hoga.... (Shivu, you also have to put mehendi… at least write Kavyashree’s name…)”

Shivansh nodded, extending his hand with quiet determination. The others hooted in approval, Nikhil grinning from ear to ear. “Waah.... kya baat hai.... bina kisi nakhre ke hi maan gaya....?? (Wow… what a surprise… you agreed without any tantrums??)”

Shivansh, momentarily irritated by the teasing, shot Nikhil a death stare and gritted his teeth. “Saale..... teri problem kya hai....?? Mai kucch bhi karu..... usme khot nikalta rehta hai..... (Idiot… what is your problem…?? Whatever I do… you find a mistake in it…)”

Nikhil chuckled, falling silent, his attention drifting toward Sakshi. Shivansh, noticing this, refocused entirely on Kavyashree, who was starting to look tired and slightly uncomfortable. With gentle care, he got her some juice and refreshments, and Sakshi helped feed her. In that simple act, Sakshi saw the purest form of love and concern reflected in Shivansh’s eyes, and she felt certain — he was truly the perfect match for Kavyashree.

Once Shivansh and Kavyashree’s mehendi was completed, the other ladies eagerly applied their own designs. The morning turned into an afternoon filled with dancing, laughter, delicious food, and joy, leaving everyone with memories that would last a lifetime.

💞💞💞💞💞💞

(In the Evening)

It was around 6:30 P.M. and the evening air was filled with excitement for the sangeet. Nikhil, ever the perfectionist, was already dressed and inspecting the arrangements along with Kunal, making sure everything looked perfect before the guests began to arrive. He wore a peach-colored sherwani paired with traditional mojdis, the warm shade complementing his lively personality.

Meanwhile, in Kavyashree’s room, Sakshi was once again helping her get ready. Sakshi looked effortlessly elegant in a grey lehenga paired with cream-colored pencil heels. The soft shimmer of her outfit caught the golden lights of the vanity mirror, adding a touch of sophistication to her graceful demeanor.

After ensuring that every corner of the venue looked flawless — from the fairy lights to the floral stage — Nikhil made his way to check on Shivansh. Inside the groom’s suite, Abhi was already there, helping him with the final touches. Shivansh stood in front of the mirror, wearing a perfectly tailored grey sherwani that accentuated his tall frame. A brown-striped Titan watch adorned his wrist, paired with classic mojdis, completing his effortlessly dashing look.

He looked every bit the charming groom-to-be — calm, confident, and undeniably handsome — the kind of man who didn’t need attention but still drew every gaze the moment he walked in.

On the other hand, Kavyashree looked absolutely radiant in a peach-colored lehenga that shimmered under the soft evening lights. Her hair was parted from the middle, with delicate front braids that merged into loose curls cascading down her back, adorned with tiny white beads that added a dreamy touch. Her makeup was subtle yet striking — glittery eyeshadow that caught the light beautifully, a soft blush that highlighted her cheeks, and maroon lipstick that added the perfect contrast. She completed her look with elegant silver and diamond jewelry, paired with peach and silver bangles that chimed softly every time she moved.

All the other family members and friends were dressed in hues of grey and peach. Everyone gathered near the stage, filling the hall with laughter and excitement.

Guys, sorry for interrupting, but please play “Rataan Lambiyan” on your headphones. Happy Reading!! 🎧💖

The host announced the arrival of the bride and groom. From one end walked Kavyashree, and from the other, Shivansh. As they met at the center of the aisle, Shivansh’s heart skipped a beat — he had just seen the most beautiful woman on earth. They walked the aisle together, and once they reached the altar, they took their seats amidst cheers and applause.

Once they were settled, the ultimate battle of ladkewale vs ladkiwale began. Nikhil and Sakshi went first for a dance face-off — both gave their best, but Sakshi stole the win. Next came Kunal and Ritu; this time, Ritu claimed victory. Both sides were now tied.

Then came the parents’ turn. Kavyashree’s parents let Shivansh’s parents win, leaving her a little disappointed. But Shivansh noticed and said softly —
“Ms. Sharma, koi baat nahi… chahe koi bhi jeete, main toh aapke saamne haar hi jaunga.”
(Ms. Sharma, it’s okay… no matter who wins here, I’ll always lose before you.)

Kavyashree smiled and replied teasingly,
“We’ll see that soon, Mr. Singhania!”
Her playful confidence made Shivansh grin — she never failed to impress him.

Then came the final performance — the bride and groom’s dance.

Guys, sorry to interrupt again… but please play “Saibo” by Shreya Ghoshal. Enjoy Reading!! 🎶✨

Shivansh and Kavyashree entered from opposite sides of the stage. Kavyashree lip-synced to the song as she reached him. On the first beat drop, she bent backward — Shivansh smoothly caught her in his arms. Their movements were graceful, perfectly in sync. On the second beat drop, Shivansh lifted her effortlessly and twirled her before gently putting her down. They struck their final pose, and the crowd erupted in applause and cheers.

In the end, no one won the Sangeet — it was declared a tie, filled with laughter and love.

The Sangeet night came to an end. Everyone returned to their rooms, hearts full and faces smiling, to prepare for the next big day —
The Wedding Day of Our Beloved KAVYANSH! 💍❤️

Author's Note

And as the night wrapped itself in laughter and peach-tinted dreams, one truth shimmered quietly beneath all the glitter — love wasn’t just found in grand gestures, but in stolen glances, shared smiles, and hearts that danced even when the music stopped.

Tomorrow, vows will be taken… destinies will intertwine…
But tell me, my dewdrops — do you believe every “perfect” wedding hides a story waiting to change everything? 💭💍
